Prop Price Alerts: An Earlier Crossing Is Not a Later Alert Delivery

An alert record needs a creation time and an observed trigger event. Price history that crossed a level before the alert existed does not establish that the alert delivered a timely notification. Preserve the chronology before comparing it with an account decision.

Distinguish the historical condition from the alert

Save the symbol, threshold, direction, creation instant and alert rule. A rule may concern a crossing, a level condition or another event. Read its actual definition rather than assuming every observation above a level is a new crossing.

A chart can show an earlier crossing without showing an alert notification. For a London journal, retain full UTC instants beside local displays. Clock presentation cannot move alert creation into the past or demonstrate receipt on a device.

Read a fictional three-event sequence

Suppose a supplied price crosses 101 at 09:00 UTC, the alert is created at 09:05 and a notification arrives at 09:08. The earlier crossing precedes the alert by five minutes. The notification’s actual trigger condition still needs its own record.

A later account fill at 09:09 would be a fourth event with its own price and quantity. It cannot be assigned the 09:00 price just because that crossing looks attractive. If the fill or notification is absent, leave the corresponding field unresolved.

Fictional alert chronology
Time UTCEventWhat it establishes
09:00Historical price crossingBefore alert creation
09:05Alert createdNo earlier alert entitlement implied
09:08Notification receivedActual trigger evidence still needed
09:09Possible fill not suppliedNo execution result established

Review preparation rather than inventing a trade

The original alert-creation resource on this site remains the companion for temporal order. A complete evaluation review additionally needs actual executions, costs, account conditions and the method permitted by the provider.

The optional sponsored HashHedge link concerns its current programme. This article creates no alerts and claims no signal quality, execution advantage or pass probability. The fictional timeline helps detect a chronology gap before it becomes a misleading account-performance story.
